Antroposen Araştırma Grubu
Antroposen Araştırma Grubu, ortak bir amaç uğrunda bir araya gelerek fikirler, çözümler ve çalışmalar üretecek her biri farklı dallardan ekolojik farkındalığı yüksek ve aktivist bilim insanı, sanatçı ve öğrencilerden oluşur. Çalışma grubunun hedefi, içinde bulunduğumuz insan kaynaklı ekolojik ve politik krizi türcü ve insan-merkezci olmayan bir tutumla, ilişkisel bir metodla analiz etmek; yer, fen, mühendislik, sosyal, beşeri bilimlerin ve sanatın transdisipliner birliği içinde krizin çözümüne yönelik üretim ve etkinlikler yapmaktır.
What is ANTROG?
⚪️Founded in 2021, ANTROG, short for the Anthropocene Research Group, is a pioneering Turkish initiative dedicated to addressing the multi-faceted ecological, political, and social crises of our time. Founded on the principle of transdisciplinary collaboration, the group serves as a platform where researchers from diverse fields—ranging from archaeology, philosophy, earth sciences to engineering, agricultural sciences, and the arts—unite to confront the challenges of the "Anthropocene,” the contemporary epoch defined by significant human impact on Earth's ecosystems.
⚪️The primary goal of ANTROG is to provide a thorough understanding of human-induced ecological degradation through events, summer camps, publications, discussion groups, and podcasts. Rather than viewing the climate crisis through a single lens, the group integrates non-human centric relational thinking with historical, cultural, and political perspectives.
⚪️ANTROG aims to foster a collective consciousness and produce actionable solutions to mitigate the effects of the ecological crisis, advocating for a just and equitable future.
